Point Reyes National Seashore is a park about a 1 hour drive North from San Francisco. It’s a great day trip option if you want to get away from the busy city and experience some fantastic views.
To the Lighthouse:
The park is large and there are lots of hikes. You could easily spend a few days exploring the park. We visited the Visitor Center, grabbed a map, and hit the Earthquake Trail (0.6mi) across from the Visitor Center. It provides information on tectonics in the San Fran area and you’ll see a fence that was separated during a previous earthquake!! We then went to the Point Reyes Lighthouse and Chimney Rock trail (1.6mi) for a better glimpse into what the park offers. Watch out for elephant seals and deer!
Chimney Rock Trail:
I will definitely visit this park again next time I’m in the San Fran area! Alamere Falls (13mi) is my next TO DO!
Did these pictures make you want to visit this park next time you’re in the area?!
